Tropical Hedonism

Description:

If someone were to create the perfect setting for island indulgences, it'd be the US Virgin Islands. The naturally lush islands set the extravagant stage for cruise ship docks, glittering resorts, mega-malls and some seriously decadent dining. Spend three days living it up in the palm-fringed lap of luxury. You may just find the warm waters and white sands to be the most sensuous indulgence of them all.

Day 1 - St. Thomas

Of all the glamorous resorts on St. Thomas, the Ritz-Carlton is perhaps the most opulent and over-the-top of them all. Make it your home base, and spend your first morning lazing around the lush grounds. For a taste of the natural indulgences of the islands, head over to green and pristine St. John. Romp around Cinnamon Bay, grabbing some snacks at the local restaurants in Cruz Bay. Get a little more tropical lushness at St. Peter Greathouse Estate, where you stroll past waterfalls and through orchid gardens. Head back to St. Thomas and get gussied up for a romantically ambient dinner at Old Stone Farm House.

For lunch, head to hip Rhumblines, where you can eat alfresco. Next you'll delve into the mall of all malls, Yacht Haven Grande, home to high-end designer boutiques.
