Description:
Life here is la dolce vita. Built in 1722 off a narrow street in the old part of town, this was the first hotel in St-Tropez. Colette lived for a few weeks here in 1927, and before that it was the temporary address of pre-Impressionists such as Paul Signac. The high-ceilinged reception area and many of the rooms overlook a flower-filled inner courtyard. All the rooms were renovated in the early part of the millennium, and those on the upper level have terra-cotta floor tiles and massive ceiling timbers. Each has a comfortable bed, utilitarian furniture, and high ceilings, and most have a roomy bathroom with tub and shower (otherwise only a shower).
