This bar, positioned on the lobby level of the also-recommended Grand Hotel, is one of the most famous and plushest in Europe. From its windows, you'll have a view of a venue that was lavishly renovated in 2006, as well as Stockholm's harbor and its Royal Palace. Light meals -- open-faced sandwiches and smoked salmon -- are served throughout the day and evening. Drinks cost from 120SEK to 195SEK ($24-$39/£12-£20); imported beer runs 65SEK ($13/£6.50). It's open Monday to Saturday 11am to 2am, Sunday 11am to 12:30am; a piano player performs Wednesday to Saturday from 9:30pm to 1:30am.
