Brasserie de l'Ancienne Douane

Description:

  • This is the largest and most colorful dining spot in Strasbourg. Established in the oldest part of town as part of a historical renovation, it offers 600 seats indoors and 200 seats on a terrace. The high-ceilinged rooms are somewhat formal, with Teutonic chairs and heavily timbered ceilings. Among the Alsatian specialties are the well-known "sauerkraut of the Customs officers" and the foie gras of Strasbourg. Onion pie and ham knuckle with potato salad and horseradish are also popular.
