• The name of the place refers to the checks that actors get for work done in the past. Papered on the walls are what those checks look like after too many years - checks for ridiculously small amounts like fourteen cents. Local actors bring those checks in and, instead of cashing them, get a free drink in return. This is a fun place to drink and scan the crowd, some of those faces might be tomorrow's stars. You'll find food available, too.
