About Stuttgart

The city and its name originate from a horse farm, " Stutengarten", which was founded in 950 CE in the Nesenbach Valley. Formerly an agricultural region, it developed into a beautiful residential town, and later forged important industrial links. Daimler, Bosch and Porsche are some of important names which have historically been associated with Stuttgart. Other than that it is known as a wine-growing area and for its parks and gardens. Those who visit Stuttgart are often fascinated by the contrasts that characterize the town's layout and yet these variations harmonize well in this setting.
