The Teatro Las Ruinas contains this small gallery of El Salvadoran art including 31 abstract, Impressionist, and realist, post-1950 paintings created exclusively by El Salvadoran artists -- including Suchitoto's own single-name artist "Chaney" as well as Negra Alvarez and Augusto Crespin. Also included in the gallery is a traditional Greek-style bust of Suchitoto arts promoter and once world-famous cinematographer Alejandro Cotto. You can visit the gallery year-round by making an appointment.
