Laem Yai Beach

• A recently discovered gem- forget about crowds of holidaymakers, just think soft white sand, clear waters and views of the Angthong national park. Rocky at the immediate waters edge but clear further out, tends to be quite shallow. Laem Yai beach is reached by talking the road that leads to Mai Samui and The Passage, on the left coming from Nathon, just before the ring road climbs up a steep hill. If you see the Four Seasons sign you have gone too far! Either base yourself at one of the hotels or access the beach immediately after, where you will find some Thai beach restaurants.
