Swansea Bay

  • Type: Attractions
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

If you prefer to be active walk from Swansea to Mumbles along the promenade, taking in the fabulously seaside views as you. You will certainly have earned your fish and chips in Mumbles then!

  • Description:

    • After a few days exploring the wonders of Cardiff grab your beach towel and suncream head west to Swansea Bay. After the hour-long journey you will find yourself on an expansive stretch of beach, which has Swansea city at the easterly end, and the pretty seaside village of Mumbles at the westerly end. Stretch your towel out and take in the rays for a few hours, then head to Joe's ice cream palour in Mumbles for one of the finest Welsh ice creams going. If you have time make your way onto the beautiful Gower peninsula, which was the first place in the UK to be designates an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If time is short head into Swansea city centre for a quality curry in one of the many curry house on St Helen's Road, before making your way back to Cardiff.
