The restaurant at the Grand Hotel Kronenhof is one of the most popular spots in town, serving the finest cuisine. It's filled with valuable pieces of brass and pewter; the wood paneling is from the mid-19th century. The dishes are fresh-flavored, inventive, and prepared with time-tested skill. You may enjoy a "variation of tomatoes with cheese" served with a dollop of basil-flavored sorbet; a medley of marinated salmon and tuna served with mango-flavored vinaigrette and strips of roasted duck meat; and filets of pikeperch in a potato crust, served with cheese sauce and fresh chanterelles. Veal mignon with a foie-gras mousse is especially delightful, or perhaps a supreme of turbot with saffron.
