- While weekends on Oxford Street are known for the throngs of rowdy revelers, above the strip you'll find one bar that's offering an altogether different experience. Inspired by 18th-century France - in particular, the Palace of Versailles - DeNom is one of Sydney's exclusive bars. Entry is generally reserved for members, but unless it's booked out, non-members can still get in. Once inside you'll be treated to a scene like no other: the 80-seater sanctuary is decked out in gilded antique furniture, bespoke wallpaper and decadent velvet daybeds. Top it all off with a signature cocktail from one of the snazzily dressed barmen.
