- A high country retreat, Snowy Wilderness is a sanctuary for the wild Brumby (Australia's Wild horse, a part of history and folklore). Stay a day or a week; you will not be left wanting things to do. Activities include Wild Brumby Watching, 4-Wheel Drive Tours (up to two day excursions), Fly Fishing, Horse Riding (up to seven day rides), ATV Tours, Night Touring with bush dinner under the stars, and Trekking & Camping trips. Fine dining is available on-site using fresh local ingredients; their Aussie Camp Oven is a specialty steeped in tradition. Overnight accommodation is also available in the form of cottages, lodges, lakeside apartments, a homestead, and campsites (including shelter, beds, swags, and amenities).
