Description:
- Katoomba is the biggest town and unofficial capital of the Blue Mountains region behind Sydney, and is probably the best place to base yourself if you intend spending a few days up in this lovely part of the world (which is a highly recommended thing to do). And if you do happen to find yourself in Katoomba, then there is no better place to head for a bite of dinner than Darley's – situated in a lovely old house that could almost be described as a manor - with an enclosed verandah, chandeliers, lovely old-fashioned presentation, and a beautiful garden. Certainly, you cannot beat Darley's for dignified semi-rural ambience, although the prices can easily match the excesses of downtown Sydney. The menu is a diverse and fashionable modern Australian fusion, and the standards are high, as is to be expected with the kinds of prices levied. However, if you have the budget and you are in this part of the world, then there are no better choices to be found in the Mountains.

Just another nice if somewhat overpriced restaurant. Nice ambiance. Nothing special about the food that isnt available in many other restaurants.

This is a very good restaurant in many ways but measured against its style- and-price competition I'm afraid it's only average. Very well patronised on a Thursday night so...
