• Milson's is a solid North Shore choice situated in a lovely part of town, and one surprisingly easy to get to from Central Sydney. If you do come, make sure that you take a stroll down to the water to watch the lights of the city playing on the water of the Harbor; if you have good eyes and a local with you to pick them out, you will also be able to spot the houses of the Prime Minister and the Governor-General, both of whom own houses on the water's edge. Milson's impresses with good quality cooking of traditional dishes, carefully executed with impeccable ingredients. And whilst your imagination will not be stretched, your stomach should find satisfaction. Milson's menu is not huge, and is mostly founded around variations on fish, but it is all well done. A menu sample: lemon-scented crab consommé ($26) bejeweled with peeled asparagus and grape tomatoes.
