• Another spin-off restaurant from the many operated by seafood entrepreneur Greg Doyle (Doyle's, Pier, etc) – the Pier Tasting Room has many of the delights of his famous Pier restaurant (ranked in the world's top 100), except in tiny portions and for a fraction of the cost. Pier Tasting Room is a fun choice, but more a snack bar than a place to fuel up… you'd need to eat a fair few dishes before you managed to satisfy a ranging hunger. What the Pier Tasting Room is, however, is great fun, so that if you do happen to be in this part of town, drop in for a dish or two – oysters, sashimi, scallops, prawns… it is all here, and creatively prepared.
