Description:
Set on a corner beside a run of surf shops, Ravesi's is a kind of fish tank -- with the water on the outside. Downstairs, it's all glass windows and bar stools, the perfect place to watch the street life go by. On weekend nights, the place is packed. Upstairs is a fine casual restaurant with seating both inside and out on the balcony overlooking the beach. On a recent visit, I had the smoked chicken salad with avocado, chili, mango, and peanuts, and it easily outclassed any salad I've had for a long while. The seafood, meat, and varied vegetarian options also make a big impression. Weekend breakfast up here is a wonderful experience, and they do excellent Bloody Marys, comforting after a night on the town.
