Cronulla Beach Walk

  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Cronulla is best known as the site of Sydney's recent race riots, but is most often a peaceful place. Sydneysiders call it the shire, and think of shirefolk as a different breed altogether. The beach is great, the longest in Sydney.

  • Description:

    • Much longer than the beaches at Bondi or Coogee, the walk along the length of Cronulla Beach takes at least an hour and a half. An easy walking track winds round the cliffs, past rock pools and hidden coves to Green Hills in the North. The finish rewards you with fabulous views southwards across the water to the Royal National Park. For the really energetic, a walk to the other end of the beach to Pimelwi Rocks, gives an excellent view of the historic Captain Cook's landing place.
