Hermitage Foreshore Walk

Description:

  • Sydney has many wonderful walking trails, and the Hermitage Foreshore Walk is one of the best. It is particularly well endowed with wonderful harbour and city views, dinky inlets, tiny beaches and mini-cliffs, all decorated with millionaire mansions hidden in lush vegetation on the land and millionaire boats bobbing in the water. The reserve is part of Sydney Harbour National Park and this 3.7km walk wends its way through the slender strip of coastal native bush starting at the end of Bay View Hill Road, Rose Bay and ending in Nielson Park, Vaucluse, with a virtual embarrassment of places to stop for a pleasant picnic, refreshing paddle or a shady snooze
