NileGuide Expert tip:
Carnegie's transforms into a quiet place to grab dinner and a drink on weeknights.
Think Coyote Ugly but in Taiwan. With a crowd that's typically older (think 30s and 40s), Carnegie's draws in huge crowds on weekends and Wednesdays for Ladies Night. Expect to wait in line, but once you're in, good times await. It's not unusual to see drunk women dancing on the bar top (and everywhere else) and rumor has it that the older expat crowd heads here at night to pick up prostitutes.
Should you head to Carnegie's leave your valuables behind and keep a close eye on your wallet or purse, as the staff has reported frequent thefts in the crowded bar, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
Daily from 6pm to 7pm- NT $99 drinks
Daily 11am to 9pm and all day Sunday
Every Wednesday- free champagne for the gals
