• This aptly named basement bar hosts a range of rock and alternative music all through the night, and while the name may bring to mind a dark, uninviting place, the psychedelic painted murals and friendly staff will make you feel like you chilling in the middle of a Tim Burton movie (in a good way). Popular with the students of the area, Underworld mixes live music with local DJs and an extensive collection of CDs.
  
  Take the MRT to Taipower Building station and leave through exit 3. You'll be able to hear the beats as you descend the steps into the funky little dive bar.
