Taipei has a nightlife and club scene to rival those of the other big cities in Asia. Once the sun goes down, the beats start thrumming as Taipei's youth heads out into the city. No matter what your taste in music, there's something for everyone, and the party doesn't sleep until very late.
Our first pick, Luxy, has a world class sound system and has hosted musical acts like Flo Rida and E.V.E. If you want to dance the night away with music you can feel in your chest, Luxy is the place to be. Some of the Roxy bars may make appearances on other Top Ten lists, but for nightclubs, it's Roxy 99 that made the cut. On weekends, the bar plays hip hop as well as a bit of the rock and roll that made Roxy famous in Taipei.
Room 18 is the spot where Taipei's young and beautiful come to be seen. Upstairs from 18 Lover, a chic lounge that didn't make the nightclub list (but is a great spot to sip on a cocktail and catch your breath), Room 18's dance floor only starts to warm up after midnight and often stays busy until 5am. For the nightclub vibe without the DJ, head over to Brown Sugar Live. The swank bar hosts live musicians, serves up first class food and caters to sophisticated night owls and party-lovers alike.
