• Taipei has been aching for a few good beer joints and Gordon Biersch fills the niche perfectly. A part of an international chain of restaurant breweries, Gordon Biersch is one of the few places in town where you can sample a variety of handcrafted beers along with a full menu of American favorites. The barbecue pulled pork sandwich and garlic fries are especially good, but the menu also includes appetizers, soups, salads, pizza, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, pasta, and desserts.
  
  The beer selection includes five regular selections, ranging from a wheaty hefeweizen to a nice dark German black beer, and one seasonal offering.
