Niu Sushi

• If you ask around about what the best sushi restaurant in Taipei is, you'll probably hear a few answers, but Niu Sushi is likely to be one of them. The smallish sushi bar looks tiny from the outside, and a huge rectangular sushi bar takes up much of the interior with several chefs working on their creations right in front of you. The menu is all in Chinese, but you can order omakase, or chef's choice, at various price points and let the chefs choose a variety of courses for you.

   

  Located amidst a strip of restaurants around the corner from Nanjing East Road, you can identify Niu Sushi by the huge cow on the window and awning as well as the Chinese character for beef (niu).
