Description:

• There's something incredibly comforting about a big, juicy, tender chunk of deep fried pork and few places do it as well as Saboten in Taipei. While a bit more expensive the the mall food court variety of Tonkatsu, the food is well worth the extra cost. Each table is set with a small bowl of black and white sesame seeds, spicy mustard, Tonkatsu sauce and a big wooden stick to grind it all together. The menu is all in Chinese and Japanese, but plentiful pictures and plastic models of the food make ordering easy.
  
  Diners can choose from classic Tonkatsu, curry Tonkatsu, Tonkatsu with cheese and mushroom Tonkatsu as well as a few other varieties of fried goodies. There's usually a line out the door to get a table, but you place your order while you wait, so your food is ready soon after you sit down.
