Normally, I'd hesitate to point anyone in the direction of a chain, but I'll make an exception for Punto del Cielo. The coffee shop is Mexican owned and uses coffee beans from Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Veracruz at a good price. Also, you can't beat the view from the Taxco location in Plaza Borda. Several tables are set up on a small patio that overlooks the bustling plaza and the Santa Prisca Church. The rest of the tables are spread throughout the spacious cafe, which is decorated with black-and-white photographs and has a supply of local newspapers and magazines on hand. After being served your coffee, you're invited to personalize it at a fully stocked flavor bar. Choices include amaretto, guava, mango, and hazelnut. They also offer croissants and paninis, which are perfect if you've already had your share of tacos.
