  • There should be monuments to Tel Aviv's nightlife scene. People who know about these kinds of things rank Tel Aviv with top party cities in the world like Ibiza, Bangkok, New York, and London. There's a little bit of hedonism here, to contrast with Tel Aviv's sister city of Jerusalem. It's a you want it, you got it kind of a city. There are laid back bars, places for 18-25 year olds, and bars where if you're not over 25 you're not getting in. There is a wildly fun gay scene in Tel Aviv and a few places that are a little quieter, more bohemian, hippyish, en vogue, more adult, Irish, inside, outside, on rooftops, in basements, classy, exotic. Forbes magazine described party cities as ones that "...become a little louder - and maybe even a little naughtier than the rest." That's exactly it. Something about Tel Aviv makes you want to lose a little control and if you think you can fight the feeling, I dare you to try.
