  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Tel Aviv is 102 years old, but Israel's history goes back millenia. Around Israel there are innumerable ways to study, view, enjoy and learn about history. In Tel Aviv, there are many historical sites within the White City such as Independence Hall, where Israel declared it's independence in 1948, Rabin Square, where Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated, first prime minister of Israel David Ben Gurion's residence in Tel Aviv as well as many other places. Jaffo is one of the oldest cities in the world and possibly the oldest port still in use. Truly ancient history resides in Jaffo and one feels it when you walk up and down the streets.
