Description:

The museum is a cornucopia of exhibits from different areas of the world, periods of time, and genres of art. There are paintings, drawings, photography, prints and sculptures from international and Israeli artists ranging from the 16th century to the present. There are rotating collections from Impressionist and post-Impressionist works like Pissarro, Matisse, Chagall and Van Gogh. English gallery talks are given Wednesdays at 11:30 in the morning.

While in Israel, one can check the Friday edition of the Jerusalem Post for films, concerts and lectures at the museum. If you attend one of the museum's events, consider the museum's modern Italian restaurant Giacometti. It's set within the museum's sculpture garden and opens at noon, closes when the last customer leaves. Meals are fixed at NIS 75, almost $20 or £10.
