Description:
The Pasquale gives you great views for the money. It's built into a cliff face -- some of which shows through the walls inside -- right at the port of the Old Town, so all rooms overlook the beach and sea. The green tile floors support mediocre beds and basic, built-in units. Rooms are midsize, but bathrooms are cramped, and some are showing mildew. Families will appreciate quad no. 3 with its two separate bedrooms. The entire hotel is nonsmoking, and the hoteliers recently added an elevator.
They also run the Villa Steno, 16 rooms at the top of the Old Town with views over the rooftops to the sea, which also has a few two-room units for families and small terraces with vistas. Rooms here are a bit larger, bathrooms just as cramped, and furnishing units newer, but a few rooms lack views. Prices are the same. The town is a 5- to 10-minute walk through a lemon grove.
