Description:
Housed in a gorgeous 1845 Greek Revival mansion built by whaling-ship magnate Benjamin Huntting, the home is as cool as the collection inside, devoted to the industry that put this part of the world on the map. Highlights include 100-year-old genuine whale jawbones, a reconstructed 18th-century kitchen, tools and weapons of whalers, and samples of whale oil.
