Description:

  • For years US and Soviet Navy submarines patrolled the waters of the Arctic Ocean in search of a strategic advantage over one-another. While those days are long past, visitors to the North Pole can now reenact those games of cat-and-mouse on a real live sub! Just like the Russian Space Agency offered trips abroad their space capsules for a little extra cash, the Russian Navy does the same thing, except in the Arctic. Tours generally last an hour and participants can help "stalk" a US submarine, culminating in a breathtaking ascent through the Arctic ice for pictures and lunch. Definitely a kid-favorite.
