Great for families with children, the Gai Beach is a sprawling low-rise set right on the beach with an adjacent water park filled with giant slides, a vast wading pool, and a pool with artificial waves. The hotel is a bright, sparkling place with large windows in the comfy, 1980s modern guest rooms (those on ground floors have terraces) and public areas that bring in dazzling sunshine and offer vistas of the lake. The water park is open from Passover to October, and the hotel has a private beach. The hotel offers rooms for travelers with disabilities. High season includes July and August, Christmas, and the Jewish holidays. Relatively quiet when school is in session.
