• A good budget choice, built in 1998, and located on a quiet street in downtown Tiberias, the Aviv offers large, no-frills rooms with kitchenettes. The layouts of the rooms (called holiday flats) vary, so check a few if possible. Some contain completely separate kitchenettes; others are more like suites, with a living area, separate bedroom, and kitchen -- especially good for families. All have balconies, and some have whirlpool tubs. The management rents bikes and organizes tours of the area. There are pleasant public areas, and street parking is permitted here. Do not confuse this with the nearby Hostel Aviv.
