• I personally think that Tirana is one of the best places to grab some street food. You have many places that offer sandwiches, hamburgers and gyro pitas or doner if you prefere turkish terminology. You have different places offering pizza's and sandwiches with pizza base, byrektore's (pie shops) etc. so there is a wide choice out there. But my favorite place is a Creperie Close to my old high school that is simply known as "krepat te petro nini" (the name of the high school). it is slowly turning into a chain of creperies with 4 other places but still the most popular is the original one. It offers a wide choice of sweet and salty creppes to go or to eat there, in order to satisfie the taste of everyone. it is the perfect place to grab something to eat before going back to class or to work during the day or eat something before enjoying the night life in the Blloku Area nearby. The food is always fresh since the place is always full and the creppes are prepared on the spot. The only problem of this place is that there is no separate service for those who want to eat there and those who want to take it away. so if you are really in a hurry it is the fastest way of getting what you want.
