Description:

  • This unusual and noteworthy restaurant occupies an Edwardian house .8km (1/2 mile) south of Scarborough. The restaurant serves freshly made fruit drinks laced with the local rum. We highly recommend the delectable "mammy's golden apple chutney," and the locally caught crayfish shaped into cakes and served with a tangy sauce. The kitchen also prepares Cajun dishes such as blackened chicken and shrimp jambalaya, along with seared tuna. To begin your meal, you can do no better than the callaloo soup with tender crabmeat (the secret is in the tender, young dasheen leaves). A house specialty is piña colada mahimahi marinated in herbs and coconut milk along with a honey-pineapple purée.
