User Review:
- In Japanese, the name of this humble establishment literally means "standing bar." Why would the proprietors of this bar go through all this trouble to point out the requisite vertical position of drinking here? Because standing at a bar in Japan is a rarity. Most places have seating at long tables or expansive tatami floors. The standing position, being a non-Japanese drinking style, seems to attract a large expat community. Come here to mingle among foreigners and swill very cheap beer. The food - mostly fried Japanese bar nibbles - isn't bad at all, especially for the price.
