Hoseikan

Description:

  • Judging from written records going back to the 8th century, Tamatsukuri Onsen is the oldest hot spring in Japan. The happy scenes described can be relived today. The hotel offers guests a choice of well-equipped Japanese or Western-style rooms. The separate men and women's hot-spring bathing facilities consist of modern indoor baths made of smooth black stone and feature views of the river. Outside, two landscaped pools sit so close to the river that you could fish from the bath. The water is classified as calcium sulfate with sodium chloride.
