- This wooden inn is situated on the pebbled banks of the Totsu River. Rooms are well-equipped Japanese-style with meals served in the room. The wooden indoor baths have pebbled bottoms and are segregated and there are also two outdoor pools. There is an interesting bathing experience -- digging down into the loose pebbles produces a hot spring. Kameya rents shovels and you can dig your own bath in the pebbles. The spring water is very hot, so cold water must be added by digging a channel from the river. The water is classified as alkaline simple thermal.
