Yamaguchikan

Description:

  • Yamaguchikan is a traditional Japanese inn situated on the banks of the Shima River in the quaint old onsen (spa) town of Shima. Rooms are exquisite Japanese-style and there are segregated bathing facilities for men and women. There are indoor wooden tubs as well as tubs placed outside to afford bathers views of the racing Shima River. The water comes from the Shima Onsen and is classified as sodium chloride. As with all true ryokan, dinner and breakfast are included in your stay. Yamaguchikan prides itself on serving authentic mountain onsen fare, including wild boar stew and mountain greens.
