• Doremi does not refer to music, although there is certainly a musical approach to the okonamiyaki (Japanese pancakes) stuffed with meat and vegetables whipped up on a grill. Instead of the usual cabbage, shrimp and pork combinations, Doremi uses lettuce, peppers, tomatoes and any other ingredients they happen to find. It is okonamiyaki made Californian-style and the result is quite pleasurable. At this place, rather than rely on the expert staff, you can even grill the food yourself! With low lighting, table lamps and Japanese flower arrangements this is a homey, intimate venue.
