Open and airy and decorated like a traditional warehouse (kura) with its gleaming woods, shoji screens, and tatami seating (with leg wells for those errant legs), this chain has an English-language menu listing a variety of Japanese and Asian pub fare, including salads, yakitori, tofu (I love the black sesame tofu, called kuroi gomadofu), chicken dishes, kimchi, and more. A good place for a convivial evening.
