Yakiniku Fransujin

Description:

  • The name of this restaurant, which means "Korean Barbecue Frenchman," can only be explained by the fact that: A) they serve Korean barbecue, and B) it looks a bit more like a French cafe than your typical yakiniku restaurant. There are no grills on the tables, like many of the best yakiniku restaurants, you grill your meat in a charcoal-filled pot which is brought to your table. The side dishes are artfully arranged as well, giving you the feel of being in some hip California eatery. While most yakiniku places have that hunkered down, casual feel, this place is polished and brightly lit, with round pine tables, and a certain air of haughty cosmopolitanism. Order meat and side dishes a la carte from around ¥500.
