- Akihabara or Akiba as the locals call it is the Electronics Mecca of Japan. Starting from Akihabara Station you can go to the new Yodobashi Camera Bldg and drool at all the newest and ltest in electronic gadgets. Or you can walk down the main drag, take photos of the girls in maid costumes, go to a Maid Cafe or stop in at one of the many shops selling electronics, anime goods or computer parts.
