Amuse Museum

Description:

  • Asakusa's Amuse Museum isn't your ordinary, stodgy, run-of-the-mill place to learn about history and tradition, but more like Ben Stiller's A Night at the Museum, although a tad more sedate. Visitors to the Amuse Museum get to witness, first-hand, traditional artisanal craft work, some of which even the Japanese are forgetting about! Housed in a newly renovated, six-story building, visitors can roam around the exhibitions, take a break in the cafe or bar areas, or wander up to the terrace for a beautiful panoramic view. With various specialized, rotating exhibitions showing, the Amuse Museum is a good spot for a day trip alone or with friends or the family; so give it a go, and learn what you didn't know! - Stephen Lebovits
