Ishidan-no-yu

Description:

  • Ishidan-no-yu is a public bath in the middle of the hot springs village of Ikaho-machi. Admission includes a towel, unlimited time and entry to the hot spring museum on the second floor. Baths are segregated and the water comes from the Ikaho onsen (spa) and is classified as calcium sulfate with carbonated iron. It is used to treat infertility, high blood pressure and palsy. When imbibed it is said to aid stomach disorders and anemia. Ishidan-no-yu is located near the steps in the center of this historic town.
