Naraya

Description:

  • Naraya is one of the oldest establishments in Hakone's exclusive area of Miyanoshita. Its history goes back to the Edo period. The main building is a historic structure, more than a century old. It has wooden walls, a tiled roof, shoji screens, and tatami-style rooms, each with a bath fed by hot springs. The nine buildings of the ryokan sit on the slopes of Mt. Hakone and are surrounded by the inn's lovely garden. The baths are both indoor and open-air, with simple thermal water that treats rheumatism, neuralgia and skin diseases
