- Although advance reservations are necessary to enter the museum, one can enjoy the building by simply visiting the garden (Kyu Furukawa Gardens). Meiji Period architect Josiah Conder designed the western-style house, which was built in 1917 for the Furukawa company. In 1982 the Tokyo Metropolitan government made the building a cultural asset. A famous Kyoto designer, Jihei Ogawa, is responsible for the lovely Japanese-style garden.
Admission: JPY150 (garden only)
