Riccar Art Museum

Description:

  • On the 7th floor of the Riccar Building more than 6,000 wood block prints from Shinji Hiraki's collection are held in this little museum in the heart of Ginza. This major depository includes the masters, Hokusai, Hiroshige, and Utamaro from the 18th and 19th centuries. Occasionally exhibits are held from both foreign and other Japanese holdings. As only a few prints are on view at any given time, appointments can be made to see particular exhibits.
