Seikado Library Exhibition Hall

Description:

  • This collection of Iwasaki art is often overlooked. Housed in a building separate from the library, the collection includes Buddhist paints, wooden figures, words, Heian diaries, Tang pottery and Chinese paintings. One of the well-known holdings is a set of Song dynasty books. As the art is exhibited only four times per year--with only a few pieces at time--it is advisable to telephone in advance to avoid disappointment.
