NileGuide Expert Says:
Massey Hall has incredible acoustics. If you're trying to get tickets to an event at the last minute, you'll probably end up with obstructed view seats. Don't be too worried, though. For most of the seats, the obstruction is very minor and worth it to catch the show of your choice.
Description:
- Built in 1894, Massey Hall is still one of Toronto's premiere concert venues. Over the years, it has played host to everything from boxing to ballet, and has welcomed many big-name stars. In 1920, when opera-singer Enrico Caruso played Massey Hall to a sold-out house, he stepped out onto the fire escape to sing an aria for the crowd of patrons who couldn't get tickets. Still home to concerts of every possible kind, including spoken word, stand-up comedy and dance, Massey Hall is an important part of Toronto's entertainment landscape.
